About Skal International, the certification organization of Organics
“Skal International” is an inspection and certification organization, which certifies organic products, processes and inputs to pursue making better environment for the earth and human being. Furthermore, Skal International also inspects and certifies sustainable forest/wood and textile. Skal International operates worldwide. Through the network of Branch offices nearly all countries in the world are covered from Netherlands. Skal International has been authorized as an international inspection and certification organization in the EU member states under the Regulation (EEC) Nr. 2092/91. Skal International is known as an authority of organic certifier under worldwide standard. The inspection program is held under strict assessment points. The inspection is held at least once a year including “uninformed visit”. Various products under the Tenerita brand are certified as “Sustainable textile product”. These are the first products to be certified as “Sustainable textile product” in Japan.
